The Tuscola School District has a long and rich tradition of service, excellence, and achievement. Since March 24, 1869, when the Tuscola School District was established by an Act of the Illinois legislature, it has been the District's goal to provide a fine education for its students. 	The University of Illinois at Urbana is among the nation's leading public universities. 	Founded in 1895, Eastern is now in its second century of service. The Campus is located approximately 25 miles south of Tuscola on I-57 and 10 miles east on Rte 13.
