ERVIN PARK
Located at Main Street and North Line Road, Ervin Park is filled with active recreational facilities for all ages. Prairie Land Pride Playground is an adventure waiting to happen for young children – a completely enclosed, safety-engineered mini-village with slides, swings, City Hall, Fire Department, and many other "City" amenities. Several other playgrounds are also spread throughout the park.
For the sports-minded, Ervin Park is home to four tennis courts, two full-size basketball courts, two soccer fields, and four ball diamonds, one of which was host to the 2002 Little League World Series State Tournament. Other sports facilities include a batting cage, sand and mud volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, and a walking track.
PAVILIONS
Need a space for a reunion, company picnic, or other outdoor gathering? There are two outdoor pavilions at Ervin Park of approximately 7,000 square feet each. Complete with picnic tables, barbecue grills, and trash cans, all you need to bring is your own food and charcoal. The pavilions are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to get there early.
WIMPLE PARK
Surrounding Wimple Pond at the end of Hillcrest Drive, Wimple Park is the perfect place to relax while taking in the Great Outdoors. Catch bluegill, catfish, and bass while fishing from the shore, take a walk with man's best friend, or just relax under a shade tree.
