City offices are closed in observance of the 4th of July Holiday.
On Saturday, July 13th at 12:00 PM, the museum will host an educator from the Anita Purves Nature Center. The program will be all about reptiles and amphibians and include some live critters.
For this program, come explore reptile characteristics when a live snake and two box turtles visit your classroom. Also, you will learn more about amphibians with a live frog.
The event will take place at the Douglas County Museum, 700 S Main St in Tuscola. Be sure to bring the kids and grandkids! Free to attend!
Due to the heat index forecast the Outdoor Movie has been moved to Friday July 26. Join us this evening at Festival Corner, 201 N Main Street in downtown Tuscola, for the third of four outdoor movies this summer. Tonight’s feature will be “Wonder Park”. The show will start at Dusk! There will be food and activities prior to the show. The Outdoor Movie Night is sponsored by The Tuscola Public Library. For more information visit: www.tuscola.org.
Douglas County Museum is hosting a Lunch/Program on Saturday July 27 called "Casting a Historic Vote: Suffrage in Illinois". Lunch/Activities are from 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm. The Program begins at 2 pm.
Cost is (Lunch & Program) $8 for members; $10 for non-members. Registration is required by July 22.
